About the Artist
“I believe everyone is born with a gift for ART and that it’s just a matter of who takes the path!'” – Venditti
Master of the trompe l’oeil technique of painting, Jerry Venditti’s desire isn’t “to fool the eye” with his fine oil paintings, rather it is to enhance, highlight and expound the profundity of what is.
Jerry creates his own rich, vibrant style that takes one beyond the canvas. His range of subject matter can transport one to many exciting and stimulating locales; experience the wine country or even the exotic Wilderness of Africa. Artistically, every brushstroke owns the canvas. There is no subject too insignificant to be treated with reverence and perfection,.
Born and raised in San Francisco’s Bay Area, Venditti stepped away from a career in law at the last minute to study art in earnest at San Francisco State University; thereafter, cultivating dynamic mentorships with Al Proom and Tom Jordon of the renowned San Francisco Art Institute; setting off from there to study amongst the vastness of the New Mexico landscapes. And from there, realizing the beauty of the area he was born and raised in—the Bay area, he migrated north to Marin and Sonoma Counties—the beautiful coastline, country and vineyards, where he fell in love with and captured the beauty in his paintings of the area. After spending 35 years on the northwest coast of California, he and his wife moved to the Sierra foothills and settled into an eclectic and artistic community in Nevada County, where he continues to produce beautiful works of art.
Collected internationally, privately and corporately, Venditti’s work was awarded a nomination by the prestigious Artists Foundation for Conservation (AFC—Nature Art,) and has been selected as one of 84 artists to participate in the international exhibit that is now leaving North America for CHINA. (AFC is the world’s leading group of artists supporting the environment. Founded in 1997, the non-profit organization comprises a membership of 500 of the world’s most gifted nature artists from 27 countries, across five continents. Dedicated to nurture, promote and leverage its world-class community of artists in support of our natural world, AFC drives its mission through three key programs: Art & Environmental Education; Field work & Research; and Artist Development. For more information visit the AFC website.) Venditti was also a featured artist at the Jane Goodall International Symposium for Conservation Art.
Venditti painted and donated a piece of art to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which is the world’s largest breast cancer organization, funding more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit while providing real-time help to those facing the disease.
Viewing art like life: “limitless in form, and infinite in expression,” Venditti generously brings each molecule of his composition into vibrant form; his work is his spiritual endeavor. Anywhere you are, Venditti’s fine art vistas vibrate to the heart, mind, and soul of your being…bringing with them a chance for a fuller, grander moment.
